Instructions :

  • To make dough: in a small bowl, integrate 1 cup flour, half cup floor almonds, and 1/4 cup sugar; reduce in butter till crumbly. Add extract. Shape dough right into a ball, lightly press dough towards the lowest and up the edges of a nine-inch springform or cake pan. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • To make filling: in a medium-sized blending bowl, beat cream cheese, 1/four cup sugar, and cream of tartar until clean. Add egg; beat on low just until blended. Pour over crust.
  • To make topping: in another medium-sized bowl, combine brown sugar, 1 tablespoon flour, and cinnamon. Add apples and stir until covered. Spoon over the filling. Sprinkle with 1/three cup slivered almonds.
  • Bake at 350 stages F (175 tiers C) for 40-45 minutes or till golden brown. Cool on a cord rack for 10 minutes. Carefully run a knife around edge of pan to loosen; cool 1 hour longer. Refrigerate overnight. Remove from pan.
